Private Conducting Lessons and Mentoring
Maestro Zona is available for private conducting lessons and evaluation. He is known for honest, direct assessment of strength and weaknesses and will offer constructive steps to making you a better communicator on the podium.
Available Services include:
- series of lessons in which students will be introduced to Mr. Zona's philosophy of technique based loosely on the "Vertical Plane Focal Point" method.
- short-term lessons to assist in preparation for an audition or concert
- sessions where Mr. Zona will come to you and observe/critique your work in rehearsal and performance
- lessons are available in the Pittsburgh, PA area or in southern and central Louisiana
INSTRUMENTAL AUDITION COACHING
Whether preparing for a full-time orchestra position, regional orchestra, or college auditions, having the input of a conductor that has evaluated literally thousands of auditions is invaluable. Mr.Zona will provide honest feedback and constructive critiques to make your next audition the best you have ever done. Either one hour-long session or two sessions at separate times to hone your skills are available.
SCHOOL HONOR ORCHESTRA GUEST CONDUCTING/CLINICIAN
From his first job as a high school band director, Mr. Zona has demonstrated an affinity for working with young musicians to bring out their best as performers and lovers of music. He has worked with youth orchestras and honor ensembles from Michigan to Texas and many places in between. His fun, easy-going podium demeanor will be a hit
with students while the musical results will impress parents and teachers.
